Brief Summary:

This position is responsible for managing the Library during evening hours, and overseeing multiple areas, including circulation and reference services general administration and operations, policy adherence, and workflow coordination. The position also provides reference services to faculty and students.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides general management and supervision for library services/operations during evening hours and coordinates with appropriate parties or offices regarding issues encountered.
  • Assists with the formulations of Public Services policies and procedures.  Implements and monitors policies and procedures.
  • Monitors effectiveness of programs and services and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Plans and coordinates workflow and schedules for evening reference desk and library service areas.
  • Oversees work and performance of public services staff and student employees.
  • Provides research services for faculty and students.
  • Provides instruction in the general use of library resources and systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Master's degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science required.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of related experience required.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Previous experience using Banner preferred.
  • Must have familiarity with Library databases and ILS.
  • Must be able to work effectively as a team player.
