Brief Summary:

This position will advise prospective and current students, including graduate students, guidance personnel, and the general public about options for financing a Marist education. This position oversees the financial aid and packaging for the graduate programs and has direct supervision of the SFS Customer Service Team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial aid aspects of the graduate programs, including new programs such as the Physician Assistant (PA) and Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) programs.
  • Counsel prospective students on financial aid packages and respond to billing inquiries.
  • Participate at student financial services related events.
  • Compile loan trend data and create year-end reports as part of managing the institutional graduate financial aid portfolio; Collaborate with all appropriate departments and staff.
  • Assist with the student verification process, oversee the LDM, international, technology and other special interest student groups.
  • Uphold and maintain policy and procedures for financial aid processing, in addition to assisting with updating or developing SFS Policy & Procedures.
  • Supervise the SFS Customer Service Representatives; Coordinate training, assign and assess work.
  • Work in collaboration with HR on the processing of Employee Educational Benefits.
  • Provide back-up for adult student population financial aid processing.
  • Manage the student exit interview process; coordinate loan vendors for student debt counseling.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Bachelor's degree required. Candidates must have at least 3-5 years of experience in financial services, student billing or related field. Candiates must possess high attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database programs. Experience with Ellucian Banner and website maintenance preferred.
